Process to Apply Germany from Nepal and required Documents
The major intake in Germany is Winter Intake (September intake) and Summer intake(February intake) for Germany. Application to both Public and Private University in Germany is easier in comparison to other countries.
- Academic Requirements for application to Germany
For Bachelor’s:
- 13 years of Education (As you have +2, you need to do Studienkolleg or 1 year of bachelor’s course). You are exempted to do preparatory courses if you have A-Levels. You can directly apply to Private university without preparatory course
- You need to have German language proficiency of at least B1 if you want to apply in Public Universities and at least A2 level if in Private Institute
- You need to have IELTS score of 6(5.5) for Bachelor’s in Germany
- You need to have minimum of 2.8 GPA and no more than 2 years of Gap
- You can apply with 13 years of education and 14 years of Education for Germany
- You need to have IELTS score of at least 6.5(6) which is mandatory
- You need to have at least 2.8 GPA/70% for successful visa application with reasonable gap if present
Stages to apply for Visa application from Nepal from Germany
- Academic Documents, LOR from College or University
- Work Experience if Gap, LOR, CV
- Motivational Letter
- IELTS 6(5.5) for Bachelor and 6.5(6) for Master
- German Language Proficiency (B1 or above) from Goethe Zentrum or VHS Bhaktapur
- Passport with 12 months of validity
- Select Institute and see the requirements that matches your profile and apply directly to university or through Uni assist
- Pay the application fee and wait for the decision from university and be ready for the university interview which may be optional
- Pay the tuition fees as mentioned in the offer letter. Generally, tuition fee is waived if you are applying in Public University.
- After receiving the Letter of Acceptance, create the account at German Consulate Services Portal through digital.diplo.de and create the account, fill up the application form, sign the VIDEX form and submit the documents. And wait for approval.
- Upon approval you will be required to book the interview date which will be in German Embassy in Gyaneshwor.
- While waiting for interview, make account in German Banks through Expatrio, Fintiba or Coracle by submitting Offer letter, proof of Tuition fees payment and Passport
- Take following original documents and their apostilled copy documents
A) Apostilled copy of all documents submitted to institute
B) Citizenship
C) Biometrical Passport Photo
D) Proof of Fund paid to institute
E) Letter of Admission
F) Printed Application form from the diplo.de website and VIDEX form
G) Signed declaration on true and complete form
H) Proof of successful bank account opening from Coracle, Fintiba or Expatrio
I) Birth certificate, Relationship Certificate, Address verification, Annual Income from ward, Property valuation , Property Ownership Certificate, Tax Clearance Certificate of all income
J) Bank Balance Certificate and Bank Statement of at least 6 months
K) Pay the visa application fee of 75 Euro (approximately Nrs. 12500)
14. After giving interview wait for decisions at least 28 days.
15. They will be asking for additional documents if required. Or else provide you with draft letter and ask you to showcase the proof of deposits on Blocked Account, issuance of Health and Travel Insurance and a flight ticket in case they tend to give visa. You need to pay Rs. 4900 for the draft letter which helps you ease the process for sending money to blocked account.
16. You take the proof of blocked account payment of 12000 Euro which includes Health and Travel Insurance and booked flight ticket to Embassy
17. You receive the decision with 7 to 14 days, and you are ready to collect the passport on approval.
