The line graph illustrates the trend regarding reach of different high-tech gadgets for domestic use in United Kingdom between 1996/97 and 2002/03 which is expressed in percentage.

In general, there was an overall increment in use of latest technology while the percentage of disk users remained maximum over the period.

To begin with, in 1996/1997 compact disk was accessed by more than sixty percentage of household in UK. The proportion showed a gradual increase and gained twenty percentage at the end of the period. To the contrary, Internet got introduced in 1998/99 to almost one-tenth of the population and experienced a rapid increment till 2000/01 reaching to almost third of the population. With even more sharp increment, the internet reached to almost half of the population in 2003.

From the starting, the population having access to home computers and cell phones hovered below thirty percentage in 1996/97. Somewhere between 1998/1999, the percentage of people using mobile overtook the population using desktop. User of cell phones saw a rapid increase reaching to well above two third of the population in 2002/03 while personal computer was available to just over half of the population.
