Q) The chart below gives information about the household percentage of spending on essential goods in China for the years 1995 and 2011.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The pie chart portrays the yearly household expenditure on crucial needs incurred in China for two different time periods of 1995 and 2011.
Predominantly, it was observed that food and clothing remained most spent entities while medicine and household goods expenses was least in both years.
In 1995, Chinese people drained majority of their money on eating accounting to more than two-third of their family budget while in 2011 they reduced the spending by 9% which stood at 59%. While people’s tendency to buy clothes saw meager decline of 1% in two different period with expenses declining from 19% to 18%
Although medicine was least spent item in earlier year with 4%, the medicinal bills rose to almost three-fold in later year which stood just above one-tenth of the overall expenses. In comparison with the expenditure in home appliances witnessed a minimal rise of 3% from 9% in 1995 to 12% in 2011.
