Sample Question and Answer

Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same thing and avoiding change. Others, however, think that change is always a good thing. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

While few people love to repeat the same thing for life whereas others opt for change believing it will bring something good. This essay examines both views and argues that change is predominantly positive.

On the one hand, doing the same thing allows people to become experts at what they do. With long experience in one job, they can become specialists. This adds to confidence and self-esteem. Similarly, living in the same area for many years enables lasting friendships and a sense of community to develop. As a result, people help each other in times of illness and hardship. Hence, being static in the same place for longer periods is also beneficial in some way.

On the other hand, life offers countless opportunities, and we should try to grasp as many of these as possible. Taking a new job or learning a new skill can be interesting, and in addition, enrich the expertise in wider avenues. This results in adaptability to changing society. For example, Students who have studied abroad countries are bound to have more skills than those in their homeland. Thus, changing a place is beneficial.

Ultimately, I believe that change is inevitable. To deny change is to deny progress hence more we realize it sooner and make changes, the better our lives will be and experience more vivid things in life.

To conclude, it seems that both changed views have their valid reasons. However, I firmly believe that we must move with time to survive accordingly.

Q) Computers are being used more and more in education. Some people say that this is a positive trend, while others argue that it is leading to negative consequences.

Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion.

It is often argued that the use of tablets and laptops is a positive development while others disagree and think it will lead to negative impacts. This essay agrees that increase in the use of technology is beneficial to students and teachers.

The internet has provided students with access to more information than ever before. Moreover, learners can research and learn about any subject at the touch of a button. It is therefore agreed that technology is a very worthwhile tool for education. Wikipedia is a prime example, where students can simply type in any keyword and gain access to in-depth knowledge quickly and easily. Hence, technology has uplifted the learner’s ability to acquire knowledge.

However, many disagree and feel that technology deprives people of real human interaction. Human interaction teaches people valuable skills such as discourse, debate, and empathy. To put it in other words, such interactions cease communication skills. For instance, students who were most involved in technology during the first stage of the pandemic lost their natural interaction level. Thus, technology in some way halts the development that can’t be neglected.

Ultimately, I believe that the use of technology widens our reach to an abundance of knowledge sources in absence of the teachers too. Henceforth, technology reach should be even widened to more students to bring more positive results.

In conclusion, the use of electronic gadgets in teaching brings positive and negative consequences. However, I firmly believe that learners should not be deprived of learning experiences from online resources that don’t have any negative impacts on their overall performance.
